MEET YOUR THERAPIST
Welcome to Stadnyk Therapy
Myroslava Stadnyk, MACP
Practice Owner ·
Registered Psychotherapist
Hello! I’m Myroslava (she/her) — a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and an active member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP) and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
With over a decade of combined experience as a counsellor and therapist, supporting youth and adults with diverse needs in the social services sector (including emergency shelters, restorative justice and court-mandated programming) and private practice, I am passionate about offering therapy that empowers individuals to achieve meaningful and lasting change — within themselves, relationships, and their lives.
In my work with clients, I prioritize emotions, as they have the power to “move” us and open the door to change. Drawing from attachment science, I view emotion as a powerful driver in how we see ourselves, how we connect with others, and how we navigate the world. I help clients safely tune into emotions as inner guides that help them move through obstacles, rather than something to push through or manage alone.
VALUES AND APPROACH
My Values and Approach
I'm a queer Ukrainian-Canadian woman who immigrated to Canada as a teenager. I know firsthand what it's like when multiple parts of yourself intersect: being queer, being an immigrant, navigating a diaspora where queerness was never spoken of. I also understand what it's like to carry parts of yourself in silence, to long to be fully seen, and what it means when you finally are. I bring that deep personal understanding into our work together.
My practice is rooted in intersectional feminist and anti-oppressive values.
My approach is:
Non-pathologizing
Culturally responsive
Trauma-informed
A balance of collaboration, support, and challenge — at a pace and depth that feels safe for you.
MY LOGO
Why the Wheat
In Ukrainian culture, wheat represents life, strength, and renewal — a reminder of land tended by generations and faith that growth is always possible, even after the storm.
It also reflects my practice. Wheat stays rooted because of its connection to the soil. It doesn't break because it moves with what comes. The therapeutic relationship works the same way. It's the secure ground, not a set of techniques alone, that makes it possible to stay with what's difficult and grow through it, toward a secure sense of self and more fulfilling relationships.
The wheat in Stadnyk Therapy's logo holds all of this: where I come from, how I practice, and my belief that change and healing, much like the wheat's growth, happen in phases. Through storms. Through seasons. It doesn't stop during hard times or when you feel stuck.
