Myroslava Stadnyk, MACP
Practice Owner and Registered Psychotherapist

I’m Myroslava Stadnyk (she/her/hers) — a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and an active member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP).

I am passionate about offering therapy that empowers individuals and helps them gain a deeper understanding of themselves in order to build an authentic and meaningful life. My experience includes over a decade providing counselling to youth and adults with diverse needs in the social services sector (including emergency shelters and court-mandated programming) and as a private practice owner and therapist.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations – both from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) (formerly Ryerson University). I am also committed to my self-growth through ongoing professional development, clinical supervision, and personal therapy.

I am a queer immigrant woman, and my practice is rooted in intersectional feminist and anti-oppressive values. That is, my approach to therapy is non-pathologizing, trauma-informed, and focused on understanding that every person’s story is shaped by unique challenges, relationships, and cultural contexts. My methods balance collaboration, support, and challenging clients at their own pace.

As an integrative therapist, I am trained in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities. To assist with my clients’ specific needs, I mainly draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) (a humanistic and experiential approach, rooted in adult attachment theory) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) (a skills-driven approach, focused on helping people regulate their emotions more effectively); as well as elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts work informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dr. Janina Fisher’s Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) model, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and sensorimotor/body-based interventions.
