Depression often means you've disconnected: from yourself, your feelings, your relationships, or your sense of what matters. It happens when we get stuck in painful patterns such as shame, feeling worthless, or fear of being abandoned. These patterns make us shut down or avoid our emotions just to get by.
How we work together:
Through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we figure out what's keeping you stuck. In a safe space, we'll explore the emotions you've been avoiding (like grief, anger, or hurt) and help you move through them. Instead of beating yourself up or feeling hopeless, you'll learn to respond to yourself with compassion. We'll also use Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills to help you navigate overwhelming moments.
The goal isn't just symptom relief. It's helping you reconnect with your emotions, transform painful patterns, and find real purpose and meaning again.
