Tired of constantly managing your anxiety and not living?

You seem calm and cool on the outside. Your mind races. You avoid things you want to do. You white-knuckle through your days. Then you are exhausted from all the tricks. The tricks only work for a little while.

Your anxiety may be trying to tell you something. It may show up when you need to feel safer or more connected, or when something from the past is still bothering you. But it becomes a real problem in the event you're more afraid of your own feelings than whatever's actually going on.

How we work together:

Through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we figure out what's going on beneath the anxiety: the feelings you've been avoiding, the stuff that still hurts, and the ways you learned to protect yourself that aren't helping anymore. In a safe space, we will make sense of patterns from your past, understand the shame or "not good enough" feelings that fuel the anxiety, and help you manage emotions in ways that work.

We'll also use DBT skills so you have practical tools to use, not just things to talk about.
